Why to use WebDav?
WebDav (Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning) is a set of extensions to the HTTP protocol that allow users to cooperate in managing and modifying files on a web server.
How to use this at PIPNI? Create a directory somewhere in your dedicated space, e.g. /www/wd. Then browse to Administration > Web and permit the WebDav protocol for this directory. The changes will take place during the following 60 minutes. Then you can use a WebDav client and start working.
One of the possible clients is a Windows XP built-in: My Network Places > Add a Network Place. Follow the dialogs from there. The host will be for instance: http://www.domain.tld/wd. That finishes the process.
If you wish to use passwords as well, read this text.
